Help us wish a 'Happy Principals Month' to the principal of Cannon Elementary School, Dr. Garrett. If she could pick up a new skill, it would be to develop a superpower skill like telepathy! Thank you to Dr. Garrett for all she does to make her school a great place to learn.

How do tie-dye and dyslexia go together? Cannon Elementary celebrated Dyslexia Awareness Month by tie-dyeing shirts. The students learned that, just like tie-dye shirts, every student is unique in their own beautiful way. One student even remarked that Cannon is “like tie-dye because we are all tied together like a family.” #WeAreGCISD

This month, Cannon Elementary read How to Build an Insect for their STEM Book Challenge. Students were then challenged to build an insect model at home and bring it to school to place it in the model habitats in the library. What a great project! #WeAreGCISD
