3rd Graders enjoying an awesome field trip to 🦒 Fossil Rim & Dinosaur World!🦖🦕 There was learning, exploring, problem solving, and so much more. 🤩We love hands on learning experiences!

Mrs. Gable our fabulous GT Lead Teacher planned an amazing day to celebrate Earth Day, Cannon style! All students were able to tour the beautiful vegetables & herb garden, appreciating the sites, smells, and flavors of Mother Nature. There were various learning centers for all to explore including storytime, painting tree trunk impressions, magna tile mint presses and even working to build a school-wide art piece that will hang overhead in the garden. Tours & learning stations were led by our 4th & 5th grade GTLEAD scholars, who have volunteered countless hours before school to plant & maintain the vegetable beds. Thank you to the volunteers from the Colleyville Garden Club that brought some fresh vegetables & taught students some gardening tricks of the trade. Today started out rainy, but turned out to be a brilliant and perfect day!
